Save Our Tails Fundraiser -
Feb 24th, 2012 at 6pm at the Holiday Inn Convention Center
2012 is here and that means the HSKC's 6th Save Our Tails fundraiser is right around the corner. The SOT committee has begun organizing our event. If you have a great basket idea or donation that would make a great addition to the silent auction, please contact us. A theme basket containing new items (no gently used items, please remember this is not a garage sale), gift certificates from area businesses or a craft item that you make, are wonderful additions to the auction. Or possibly you're a fabulous baker and would consider donating a luscious dessert for the Dessert Auction. Most importantly, circle February 24th, on your calendar, invite family and friends, and join us at the Holiday Inn for SOT 2012. All money raised will go directly to the Hawk Creek Animal Shelter and help the many animals our staff saves every year.

Board of Directors Meetings
The Annual Meeting of the Kandiyohi/Meeker County Humane Society was held at 6pm on Wed, January 4, 2012, in the Willmar Public Library’s meeting room. A progress report, as well as financial statements, were given at that time, including the election of new board members. We welcome Darlene Larson, Jim Butterfield and Jeff Schultz to the board!
Meetings will be held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 5:15pm at the Willmar Public Library. If you are interested in attending a meeting, feel free to join us.
Holiday Bake Sale - Dec. 10th, 11am-2pm
On December 10th the HSKC held their Annual Bake Sale at the Kandi Mall. They raised over $500. Thank you to all who used their baking talents to whip up some goodies to benefit the shelter animals. Baked goods such as Christmas cookies, candies, delicious caramels, breads, rolls and of course, pet treats were some of the items sold. The sale was from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Fur Ball - Spicer Legion - October, 2012
The Furball was a new fundraising event for 2011, which was a dance with a live band, hor's douerves & door prizes that was held at the Spicer Legion. Stay tuned for more information as to the date and time of the 2012 event.
